One week left in the US

Hi this is Junko. We haven't updated this blog for such a long time... but right now I'm dying to write one about yesterday!

Well before that, I have a big news. I'm leaving for Japan in exactly one week. And I don't know when the next time I will see Arby. Hopefully this winter, if he can visit Japan! I'm going to try to pay a part of his ticket so it's fare for both of us. I'm really hoping that he'll make it... I've been longing for it since we started going out. I want to show him my home and treat him really good Tonkatsu, Yakiniku, and Ramen! And Yoshinoya!! The Yoshinoya in the US is....(^^;) So he needs to taste the real one, good stuff.

So let's move on- Yesterday, Arby didn't have work so we drove an hour to go shooting! It was my first time touching a gun as far as I remember.

The total cost was a little less than $70.00 including:
-A rifle
-A pistol
-100 bullets for rifle (x2)
-50 bullets for pistol
-A paper target (x2)

We were given an hour to use one lane so Arby and I took turns to shoot.

To make a long story short, I was scared as hell. The feeling of holding a pistol was like the feeling of cliff jumping, but worse. I had no idea that pistols would make such a loud noise! I had to close my eyes right when I pulled the trigger although I had no intension to do so. But the kick was not too bad. It didn't hurt my wrist or arm, so that was good. Overall, I felt comfortable learning from Arby who had a proper shooting training in Army. I had a great experience!

The fun day still continues after shooting...

Yes! BOBA time!

Arby and I have very different tastes for what we eat and drink. (Well, for almost everything..?) So it's not easy to find something that we both really enjoy drinking together, like BOBA! So we try to get BOBA whenever we can. Because it's not just a drink, at least for me, it's something we can share true joy and good time together!

I love when Arby takes me out of town. There are many things I love about being in a car. Like sticking out my hand from the window and feeling the fresh air. I wouldn't open the window in Tokyo because there is no fresh air, but here in California, I don't smell the disgusting exhaust gas t
hanks to the smog check ^^ And the view... especially around the sunset time, I have to ask Arby to pull over for photo taking!

Another thing I love... is being baka (Japanese word for silly, stupid, idiot, etc.)!
This is Arby's car hanging accessory on my forehead ^^

He is one of the few people with whom I can act like a little kid and not being embarrassed. Because he does the same thing, and he is older than me. lol We both agree that it's ok to remain kids as long as we know how to behave professionally at work. ;) I've definitely learnt to live with less stress since I started having Arby in my life!

He also took me to his base for my first time. Unfortunately the store for military personnel (Tax free!) was closed, but it was nice to see his work place. And I got to see an air plane flying from the Air force base!

On our way home, we stopped by at an outlet mall to get something for my friends and family in Japan. I was hoping to get a good deal at L'occitane and I did! Plus we ran into our friends there! What a lucky day. It was great to see their faces :)

And the story still goes on....

We welcomed our new friend to our home!

Her name is Cammy. It's named after Kame, a Japanese word for turtle. It's a small version of pillow pet. We've been wanting this for a while but never felt ready to pay $20. Then we found her at Walmart for $10 today. I was still debating whether I should get it or not so I left the store. Then we stopped by Walgreens before we went home. I got what I needed, went in to Arby's car, and.... she was there! Arby said Cammy walked into his shopping bag. So she is finally with us now :)

Today was a long day especially for Arby. He did sooooooo much today for me plus his homework. I'm so thankful for him being such a loving and caring boyfriend.

Aishiteruyo, darling <3
