Little Fockers on the Christmas Day

Merry Christmas! It's Junko.

This is our first Christmas that we spend together. In Japan, Christmas for couples is a big deal. They make a reservation at a fancy restaurant, have a pretty-decorated cake, and spend the most romantic night of the year.

How is our romantic night going? Now, Arby is next to me laughing his a** off to the Gabriel Iglesias (a comedy show which just keep making fun of Mexicans) and I am writing this blog.

I thought he would take me to the church because he is Catholic but I have seen no religious theme whatsoever today. I was kind of expecting to see a real Christmas in America but he said he did not want to take me because I was not a Christian. I know its weird, but I have never had a chance to go to his church yet in the past 11 months. That's something that I'm thinking to do with him before he leaves for the training.... just to get to know more of his spiritual aspect.

So what we did today....

We unwrapped the gifts. (Santa didn't come to me..... sad face :( )
We ate some homemade Filipino food and a turkey with his family.
We took a nap. (as usual)
We fixed my bike. (Watching him does mechanic work makes me realize, "Yes, I can marry this guy because we can cut off some labor costs at the bike shop or automobile shop." )
We went to go watch "Little Fockers" to the local theater.

The movie was funny, but there were many times that everybody else was laughing and I didn't get it. That's why I don't really like to watch a comedy or complicated story at a theater because I can't pause the movie and ask Arby like, "What did he say?", "Why are they laughing?", and "Let's rewind a little bit". When I don't get it, it's nothing but a frustration. It makes me disappointed in my English skills. So movies for me is not a pure fun like for other Americans. Sad thing... :(

But I love watching movies at home with Arby. It's good that he doesn't mind pausing anytime I want and explaining everything that I don't understand.

I'm sorry if you expected to read about the story or a review of the movie. That's Arby's job, ne??^^

Christmas is almost over- even though we did not do anything romantic, I am thankful that I was able to spend a day with my loved one. That's all what matters. Plus we are BROKE anyways. Let's save our romantic Christmas for later!

Daisuki, darling!

Happy Holidays to everyone form my dearest reindeer.
